Well if you keep it quiet......M-F at KOBE steakhouse on 183 & Anderson Mill Rd.......

I think 3Pm -7pm AT THE BAR they have a sushi HAPPY HOUR
where the rolls are $3 or $4 (usually around $10),
they have 10 different types of sushi (2 pieces per order) for $3 to $6,
and the house martinis made with Titos and pineapple are $3 as well!!!

2 people can get HELLA stuffed and buzzed on $15! BEST deal in town!!!!
Feel free to invite .....ME!!!
ENJOY!
I'll agree about Hanabi... Ok location, but fabulous sushi.
I think we should plan a small sushi happy hour! I am game.

Uchi and Uchiko are both awesome but it is a big to do to go to them most times and true, it's not JUST sushi.

Mushashino is probably my top choice for straight ahead sushi. Before Uchi came and stole the spotlight, most people listed Mushashino as the top sushi place.

An overlooked spot is DK sushi.. very good.. reasonable.. friendly. It feels closer to me to being in Japan than most any other spot I've been to in Austin.

Sashimi Is Sashimi NO MATTER WHERE You Go

Not found a place I like in Austin.... kinda picky about Sushi...Like it for the healthy simplicity.. I find in Austin most of is corrupted with gimmicky bullshit. My ex gfs daughter raved about one place.. but I did not recognize it as sushi....I am due a good wasabi head blast!

Mushashino. I ate at a relatively new place recently, Koya, it was kick ass. There are a few low end places that are decent, but I feel these two are the best I've had in ATX.

Sunspots, you must be really picky about sushi. Several of these restaurants are on par with any sushi you're going to get in the U.S., except maybe Masa in NY.

Haha might have to defer to "unagi" on this one.

I will try.. I think I got directed to sushi place for people that want to "eat sushi" but don't like sushi and got the idea that thats what people in Austin think sushi is ....and just said never mind... like I do with pizza..... moved here from the east coast... don't recognize this stuff they sell here
could someone recommend a good "honest sushi" place?
