P411 bumped again....

A provider can request that one Okay be deleted, or all of her Okays be deleted (when she leaves the business). It doesn't happen often, but it does happen.

Also, sometimes when a client starts getting a bad reputation on the provider only boards, providers will run to remove their Okays from the client, even though they didn't personally have an issue with him.

I wish every guy had P411. If a guy has so many dollars set aside for this hobby and finds a nice reasonable lady at a great price why not use the difference to pay for the membership. P411 is the best tool around for both parties.

If it had been 10 dollar hike , wouldn't have batted an eye , but 40 wasn't as willing . It's the principle , next year it'll get bumped up again .

When I started P411, the rate I chose was very low ($50/yr). Too low, but at that time the US dollar was worth $1.25 in Canada and I really had no clue how much it would take to run P411 the way I wanted it to run.

Over the next 8 years, I inched the rate up, little by little, from $50 to $60 to $69 to $89, each time dealing with the wrath of the clients over the increase. I hated doing it each time, and spent nights tossing and turning. During that time, the value of the US dollar dropped from $1.25 Cdn to around $.95 Cdn, which killed us. It's at par today, thank goodness.

This year, I decided it was time to stop inching the rate up so frequently, my poor old heart couldn't take it anymore. So instead I decided to get our rate up to a place where I was no longer stressed out about our finances and where we didn't have to go through an increase every couple of years.

So the rate for a year on P411 is now $129. I'm sorry, but that's what it is now. The good news is I don't foresee any more increases over the next number of years,

If a client doesn't see the value in P411 at $129 vs $89, I would never expect him to continue his membership. It's always up to the consumer to vote with their dollars. The good news (for me) is that we've seen only a small number of renewals drop off and this increase has worked out well for the business.

On the other hand though, I'm very sorry to lose anyone.

It was a very difficult decision, and while I'm confident it was the right decision for myself, for my staff, and for P411..... I still hate knowing there are people who have decided that we weren't worth the extra $3 a month. We work our little tushies off and it's still one of the cheapest adult sites around, with one of the most committed and reliable staff you'll find anywhere.

Everyone has different reasons for having a P411 account. I checked my account and see where I paid $50 in 2006, and $89 in Dec 2012. In the last 6 months alone, I have used the P411 ad board to receive specials saving over $400. Now maybe these specials are advertised elsewhere, but my research (through this site and others) leads me to believe that most of discounts were specifically for P411 members. In addition to these initial savings, after an appt (my 2nd with the lady) - and making a modest gift of points to the provider through P411, I was offered a grandfathered rate (at the same special recd) which was $75 off her advertised rate. (Damn her - this has "saved" me $300 from her advertised rate.)

Many other valid points are raised in this thread - the ease of contacting a lady, no need for references, and the convenience when travelling, make P411 a great bargain for me.

Maybe I am the exception, but in my opinion the membership was severely under-priced when I joined.

Using an analogy, I pay $40 per year for a Sam's club membership - If they increased the fee to $100 (2 and a half times the previous rate) - I would be annoyed - but after looking at the savings based on my purchases, I would still be way ahead of the game when looking at the bottom line.

Bash P411 if you like, praise it --- but make the decision based on your own needs.

Randall, you are not the exception. This is no different then many other discussions here or elsewhere, it is the very vocal minority that makes it seem that way. P411 is and always will be a great value in My opinion. By the looks of membership it seems to be a Great value to many others also.

Don't let the ones who cry about a few dollars bother you, do what you think is best as you say.

I will continue to pay for the security and ease of setting up appointments. I also like the idea that the provider knows my preferences before we set up the date.
