I actually had a normal growing up experience, both parents and was shielded from this world. I had a normal job working countless hours and was taking care of my family and my disabled father and needed $200 more a week. So I thought of it as a 2nd job lol. I never knew the $ that was in this, and kinda stumbled into it for that little extra I needed. Then I realised that one call was what I already made in a 10-12 hour shift, and in 30 mins or 60 mins. I was stunned, and it gave me the oportunity to get things done, and get ahead! So I kinda became full time, and after all my hard work, now I'm at 4-5 clients a week and A-OK with that! Simple- why not get paid to do something you're already good at? 
But, like anything, my day job and other obligations will always come first, this is my hobby too. I thought about going full-time because it's like full time pay for part time work, but that's just too risky for me right now. I don't want to take the fun out if it. My limited availability for playtime only allows me to see a few people per month, and that's fine for me. The day job takes care of the bills. This is just fun money and an outlet for my nypho side but with that being said, I wouldn't judge someone who does this full time because I totally understand why, it's just not for me.

I like older men, my preferred age of a man is 40's 50's and older, most clients are in this age bracket.
I like my independence, I can be unavailable any day of the week and not have to answer or explain to anyone.
As a provider, the financial end serves as a barrier, you are paying me for my time and I provide my services accordingly.
When a client (business related) asks if I am available, I can say yes or no, and when saying no, I can provide alternative dates. Easy!
When a guy I am dating (on a personal level) asks if I am available, I can say yes or no, but when saying no, the quizzing begins and he wants to know why. Complicated!
