Outdoorsman,
Censorship is the suppression of speech or other public communication which may be considered objectionable, harmful, sensitive, or inconvenient as determined by a government, media outlet, or other controlling body.
Nikki posted her rates for doubles in a thread that had nothing to do with rates. Her response was
oops wrong thread...lol u girls will have fun no doubt! xoxo kisses

She was not censored. She admitted to posting it in the wrong thread (intentionally or not). It didn't belong there. She posted it where it did belong. She said what she wanted to say. There was no suppression or censorship. She could have edited it herself, but she didn't. In the 18+ hours before I deleted her post she never asked me or any other moderator to edit it for her. Not once. And I can guarantee you that she would have wanted the same thing done if any other lady had posted their rates in a thread she had started if she didn't want it there. Hell, she even tried to have me do something about a bad review she received not long ago, but there was no evidence to support it was fake or by a member using another handle.
As far as closing her other thread where she discussed dates, I encountered a similar situation with another provider a few weeks ago. It was suggested by another moderator to keep an eye on her threAD and if it she mentioned dates it becomes an ad and it should be closed, she should be warned and to direct the provider to post in the ad section. That's what was done. The same thing was done with Nikki's post when she did the same thing and after discussion with an administrator it was determined that it was the proper course of action.
That being said, you know the crap moderators have to put up with firsthand. We are not not here to give people their way. We are here to make sure people follow the rules and apply disciplinary actions, whether it's warnings, points or bans, at our discretion. When she wasn't happy with my decision, she tried to "mod shop" the issue by PMing other mods to come to her rescue and they sided with me, which is why she's now relying on you to say something.
I know the relationship you have with Nikki, which is why your doing her dirty work. She's smart enough to have you fight her battles so she doesn't have to post and get in trouble. I have been friends with both Nikki and Taylor in and out of the hobby for a while now, so trying to balance this stupid, bullshit cat fight has not been easy.
I am trying to be fair to everyone on the board. I have issued many warnings in lieu of points with the exception of a couple of people recently who had a history of doing the same thing before. Is it fair for me to leave Nikki's post about rates in another provider's thread where it doesn't belong after Nikki posted the same thing where it did belong? I think not. Is it fair for me to close one providers threAD after it became an ad and not close Nikki's? I think not. Besides, there's only so many "look at me, look at me" posts they can make before it becomes an ad anyway and I think most of us are tired of both of them asking their "friends" to bump their posts to stay on top.
I gave Taylor a warning during one of her previous rants and I told her not to discuss Nikki or contact her again. She mentioned her in another post shortly after reading my warning and also sent Nikki a PM. I gave her an infraction and points and told both of them if I heard either one mention the other they'd get a vacation. After today's rant I gave Taylor a 2 week vacation. Hopefully she learns her lesson.
I've been a moderator for less than 3 months. I came on as a mod to help out because it was determined that NOLA needed 3 mods. Stick hasn't logged in in over 2 months due to personal issues. Wiley is out of town now (and often) and I am out of town right now, and often as well. No offense to Wiley, but in the past (less than) 3 months, I've already assigned more reviews than he has and I'm close to passing his review approvals during his 9 months as a moderator. Throw in helping several providers get verified and handling a few other issues it's practically been a one man mod job for the past 2 months. I am not going to play favorites. If a couple of people are upset because they don't get their way, so be it. That's not my job.
