Karyn (kuh-rin), was my "almost" given name, my father wanted it, but you don't win against a screaming woman in labor apparently lol. I adore my father and I just fell in love with the name so I decided to use it. Plus, it ties me somewhat to my personal world, keeps me grounded so I don't lose myself (my sense of humanity, individuality) in this biz.

Lovely because I absolutely love the word, and I really am a lovely person. It's a spin/modification from my very first manga that I read as a child called Loveless, which is significant to me because it was my first taste of that sexual other. I can't really explain it you know, but it was really unconventional reading and I found it in such a place (my school's library), it was just a lovely and awakening surprise. It was an experience I wanted to emulate, me as a person who looks sweet and normal from the surface, but just scratch a bit below and my blossoming sexuality shines through - or something like that lol.
