Health Insurance??? Help!

Destiny... That wouldn't be Obamacare per se. That would be the effect of one of the reforms included in the affordable care act. That being, a parent can carry a child on their insurance until age 26. Previously, they were forced off at 18 or 21.
Well whatever it is I like it!!! lol

I have asked around and got the following:

Get a part time job at Starbucks. They pay for health insurance.
Get a part time job at Walmart. Ditto.
Get a seasonal part time job at the IRS. Too convoluted to explain but there is insurance at the end of the rainbow.
My input: Have you tried another provider like Coventry. They are local and my work used to use them.

Also Destiny, one of the first things they teach in an economics class is TINSTAAFL. There is no such thing as a free lunch. Somewhere someone pays in either time or money, probably both. You may like it but someone is paying for it and never forget that.

only paid about 4k

Its really reasonable
I've had 4 kidney stones in the past 10 years. Man'd up and they didn't cost much at all. Pissed out one at work, it tinked off the toilet tank.

Royamcr, you"re a better man than I. I had one of those and it was freaking miserable. Wouldn't wish it on my worse enemy.
Oh ya it sucks when it is moving down the pipes, but got er done without the Lithotripsy/catheter stuff.
I wouldn't deny healthcare to anyone except those not providing to the U.S. economy in a beneficial way. I just hate the fact that education and medical costs have skyrocketed and don't tell me its because of lawsuits.
some great info guys....many things I was not aware of. found out today I was turned down by Assurant.
so is there anywhere I can go to read about the options come January? what is covered, maximum out of pocket......all the details,,,,,esp costs for me? has it been determined yet? I am going to try Coventry and those other plans mentioned

thank you!!
Go to Healthcare.gov, there is a short questionnaire, then some info on options for your circumstances.

The federal government is also bringing their Health Insurance Exchange hotline up - in fact it is already up and taking calls. I give the number out quite a bit but don't have it here at home. You could probably do a search online and find the number.
It may be free for you Destiny, but someone is paying for it. It is fairly easy to figure out who in the long run, no disrespect intended. Those who is in favor of Obamacare can defend it and explain it all you want, but it's ultimate goal is one thing. Single payer system where the government can take full control over a huge portion of the economy.

America is changing, and not for the better. Originally Posted by JS42

It's not just the economy under full control, it's everything --and it is already too late. It took about 10 years for us to lose all of the freedoms gained in the previous 30 and most of the country doesn't even know it yet, and all because we lack resolve.
