Thirty years ago I bought a Senegal Parrot. I never could get along with it. Finally, I had friends who were thinking of getting a bird. I offered mine as a trial/test bird. As of today, they still have that parrot. As it turned out, the bird did not like male homo sapiens. It would dive bomb the husband and bite his hand (yes, the feeding one). The wife could scratch its belly, play with it, pet it, etc. (prolly lesbian bird).

I had a Siamese cat for thirteen + years. We put her to sleep this past January. Incredible sad. Though she exhibited some of the traits that Tiff's cat does, she was very sweet and would come running up and say hello when I came home each day. It was like she mouthed "hello" to me. I haven't had the heart to bring home another cat, yet. It is a tough act to follow.
