Interesting. I just tried to look at the Census Bureau's website, but it's closed for the duration of the shutdown so I went to Wiki. That's odd since you'd think it's all standardized since it's not just the Census Bureau that determines race. I've seen a couple of Asians with no Asians policy. I think it has more to do with a tight knit community, and the high chance she'll see someone she knows or knows of her.
