Actually, the points you raise have been the subject of both scientific study and debate both about desensitization and addiction. Some will tell you there is a correlation,and some go further and claim violence against women, deviance and the like. I suppose too much of anything or lack if context can be harmful, but on the other hand maybe we're wound too tight by Judeo Christian ideas of morality and sexuality. Definitely the latter.
