It looks to me that Aledo and Katy would be a good game. The only glitch is that Katy is 5A, and Aledo is 4A.
This was a district game (7-4A).....Aledo was tabbed (pre-season) to win district while Western Hills slotted in at # 5 (out of 8 schools). Aledo's pre-season ranking was # 3....and I believe they've elevated to # 1 in the state since then. Aledo returned 11 starters from last yr's squad....Western Hills returned 14.
My understanding (per this game) Aledo's starters were pulled after being on the field 21 plays. Think about that for a second or two.....twenty-one snaps and they were done for the night. Then the second-stringers didn't get much more action than that before the coaching staff emptied the bench.
Were they supposed to suit up the team managers and cheerleaders before the score got out of control? Or perhaps field only 8 or 9 players to Western Hills 11? Yeah...that would've made it better.
Whoever filed this Bullying Report should be tarred and feathered......that's the kinda crap I'd expect to come out of California. Or France.
This person has obviously never played competitive team sports in their life. Especially not in TEXAS. This is border line blasphemy. Makes my blood absolutely boil just thinking someone would do this.
Welcome to the world of "Participation Trophies", political correctness, and the rights of one over the rights of many.
Fuck the parent. Fuck Lou Holtz. Fuck Stoops. Fuck them all.
That was the dumbest thing I've heard in a long time. What did the parent think they should do, toss a coin at the beginning of the game to see who won?
The Aledo coach did all he could to hold the score without ruining his players' training. From what has been said so far, after putting his 3rd string reserves in, he ran the clock in the 3rd and 4th quarter and admitted to trying to let the other team score in the 4th.
The interviews of students and coaches afterwards was healthy. Hey, it was a game and Western Hills lost. What's for lunch?
at least someone at the aledo school district doesn't have his/her head up his/her ass...
i saw last night that the investigation was dropped, no bullying just a severe ass kicking on the field, which sometimes happens in football.
All of these pussies see how everybody that cries like a little bitch gets their way in our PC world now a days. It isn't going to get any better.
The real world will eat them up. Maybe the big drug companies came up with the participation awards to pussify the brats. When the brats grow up then they will need antidepressants to cope. Someone needs to check the conspiracy sites.

I played varsity high school football here in Texas, in the biggest division. Back then, we ran the ball most of the time, so a blowout wasn't 70-10, it was 35-0. You were expected to fight like hell until the very end, the whole town was counting on us. The other teams tended to let everyone play to get experience in the event of a large lead. The second and third teamers were fresh and fought hard, but weren't allowed to throw or hurry up at the end, certainly not call a timeout. Sportsmanlike conduct, at least for show, was expected (although at the bottom of a pile of players that was certainly ignored, and trash talk was rampant) and while the teams experienced great pleasure scoring as much as possible, once the game was in hand, I never saw an effort to embarrass the other team.
Remember when Buddy Ryan had his quarterback fake taking a knee against the Cowboys, and tried to score at the end of a game? Lou Holtz had much more class, and so did we - to the extent football players are capable of it!
