Inbound to Canada, I use the Peace Bridge. Faster for me and the customs people are easier to deal with. Coming back I use Lewiston-Queenston. They have fewer pricks at Customs than the other bridges and I hit the reservation on the way home for gas and cigarettes for friends. If I change my routine, it throws up a red flag, and I'm sure to be questioned about it. Big Brother IS watching. For Lundy's Lane, I take the QEW to McCleod Rd, turn left at the exit and go to Montrose, turn right and go to Lundy's Lane. Originally Posted by jokaczSorry, jo. And the Lewiston-Queenston can be a horrible choice sometimes. It's main function is for commercial traffic, and I have seen delays there of over two hours while the Rainbow has almost no wait.
Here is your best friend: 1-800-715-6722. This is a 24-hour info line that gives Border crossing wait times for all of the bridges in the area. It is updated once an hour, usually by about 10 minutes after the top of it. And it is usually very accurate.
