I don't often cruise the boards from work, but I do so without any fear of being fired. I own the firm.
I'm @ work right now. I'm on my iPhone, so screw'em.
I would NEVER use a work computer to hobby. I've seen too many people ger clipped in Internet investigations while I was in HR and reviewed way to many Internet logs in investigations.
Smartphones have been one of the best things to come around the hobby in years. Being to browse here, handle the hobby email account and stay off the home PCs with this has been priceless.
I have monitoring software on my server that tracks every activity on every computer in the building.
It is fairly cheap and if I hadn't told everyone they would have no idea.
Well Berkleigh I do believe you are making the best of your time there.
New development the IT guy wants me to help him with the computers.
Maybe he's a fellow hobbyist
Don't even think about it if you work for the state. A friend told me several have gotten fired and not for hobby related reasons. Just surfing.
Well I own the company and I am my own IT guy so I don't worry about it. My secretary has ran in the door with papers real quick while I was trying to close it down really quick. My monitors don't face the door for specific reasons. When she does run in like that it will get your heart going so on those days I probably don't need to go to the gym.

For those with IPhones (and maybe the berries), be sure you are not on the company's wi-fi if you intend to surf these sites. If you are, your IT dept can track them, just like if you are surfing from your work PC.
