I have read the song is about excess and the darker elements of society which makes sense. However, some of the lyrics just scream hobby to me.

I can still remember the first time I listened to this song in an, uh, altered state of mind. That was the first time that last line scared the crap out me. I got that same feeling when someone recently included it in a post on Eccie. Yikes.
