How in the world does someone scam you on a gift card. When I leave a gift card I call the 1-800 # on the back of the card and verify the total with provider right next to me... Lux daphne, maybe you are just naïve and think all hobbyist are legit and don't check it before they leave. Originally Posted by creamofthecrop

Obviously most times it all is fine, but if you have to buy it, she has to verify it, blah blah blah. Just give cash and be done. Not one hooker on earth has ever thought "gosh, I'd rather have gotten a Macy's gift card than this stack of $20 bills."

I would only accept my donation in cash. If someone wants to give me an extra gift then gift cards are nice.
gas station gift cards, target gift cards. amazon gift card are just closely equal to cash..

some provider accept it without a problem.. communicate..

who hates money?
nobody hates money.

gift cards are what I consider scrip. It is only valid with those who chose to accept it.

cash, otherwise known as legal tender, is the only form of payment that extinguishes a debt and satisfies payment right then and there.

whatever works for the 2 people involved...

Can't do that with cash. Anyone who gets away from cash in this business is not making a wise decision.

Did someone just call Luxury Daphne "naive"? DearHunter called me naive in a thread once...once and only once. I almost spat on my iPad.

But calling LD naive is even better. Originally Posted by LilMynx69

It's an interesting concept. That could be a great topic on its own, don't you think? Trying to think how to word it so as not to offend.
