What does a mod do?

I find it sad when grown men complain about being bullied, especially on website about hookers.

I've been made fun of, called some names, etc etc. I don't care. I give it right back. I see it as all in fun. This is a hobby. Hobbies are supposed to be fun.
Some people want this site to be dead again. I have no doubt it will be. A lot of people wanted "the pack" gone from indys so they can have intelligent discussions about the hobby. I've yet to see one.

If you don't like it, don't read it. Better yet don't respond to it.

I find it sad that so many people have made attacking/insulting people on here their "hobby." I'm not talking about an occasional barb or insult. I'm talking about daily coordinated unprovoked attacks on people. Ya I've been a target but it's not just me. I do have a thick skin. At one point I said "fuck it" and just ignored the clusterfuck that the site had become. Then I logged on one day to find that the petty bullying had escalated to outing. Sorry but that's not something that I'm prepared to overlook. I'm not going to let a board that I've belonged to for over a decade be taken over by haters because I'm worried that someone is going to call me a baby (I joined ASPD in 2002. took some time off hence my 2010 join date). This site isn't supposed to be about insults or attacks. It's about the hobby. Folks should just stick to that. I appreciate the fact that the mods are here to help folks follow the guidelines

As far as who has or lacks a "life" it seems self-evident who is who. Do the guys that have nothing better to do than over-post on here day after day have a life? How about the guys that can't go a day without attacking or insulting someone...do they have a life? Do the guys that come on here for friends have a life or do they need to get one?

My main question is why all the hostility? Are people coming over from indys to sabotage ECCIE because the powers that be over there don't like the competition? What makes everyone so angry that they have to attack people? Why drag the petty bullshit and politics from that site over here. I honestly don't get it. Either way I'm glad the mods are here to keep it under control.

I also don't get all the talk about INDYS. Not that I don't want to hear updates on the legal issues over there. That's news I want to hear but I'm a member of both boards and I know they are not talking about ECCIE over there. Sounds to me like a lot of bitter banned members........ maybe not but it does come off that way.

I started moderating on Eraps in Feb of 2010. Then worked on Eraps and Eccie until Eraps closed.

In that time, I have reversed points given a total of twice. Once in Houston on Eccie and once in Pgh .

Neither time were they issued by "mistake" as you called it. The persons affected sent me a PM, discussed the reason, and I reversed myself. Their reasons were sound and I reconsidered.

Granted I'm in a different position than you being that I'm a hobbyist and you are an agency, but really... who gives a shit what half the idiots on this site think. They want to gang up on someone, especially someone like you, you're an easy target. You have hot girls but you're somewhat prickly and have a vouching system that many consider to be borderline obscenely intrusive. I get that and agree 100% with them in their belief that your vouching system is overly intrusive. My difference with many is I respect that you have the right and absolute obligation to conduct your business in any way you deem necessary and I show my difference in opinion with you by simply not seeking out your girls, end of story. It is up to the posters that post here to make this place what it is and not the mods. It is not my forum and it is not Pistoleros forum. It is your forum. As my colleague has stated, we do not advertize disciplinary actions and the only ones that know are the offender and staff. That will not change.

Now, since it appears that some think we do not do our jobs, I do not want to hear any bitching when Pistolero issues you points during the day and when I get on at night or in the morning and decide that what I read is point worthy and issue points that you already got your points. I will tell you I am just doing my job and will not for any reason remove them. But that's not fair 2Dogs. I am just doing my job.
