Happy hour idea???

Everyone keeps saying that there have been gatherings, but they are private and invite only. That makes no sense because it will just be the dame 10 people going all the time. Posting in the guys/girls private sections allows for some privacy. The likelihood will be that it will only be a small group anyway. The largest number of people at the events I used to attend were about 20-30, but typically would be around 15-20. When it goes for 3 to 4 hours people will come and go.

If there is a provider that would like to partner up on this, I would be happy to discuss details because I don't have the ability to post in the ladies private forum, but can post the info in the men's.

As far as the people that seem to be paranoid, nobody needs to give anyone personal information for any reason. Not sure why that would be needed. Also, a group of people getting together for drinks is in no way illegal nor wrong. If you show up and aren't sure, grab a drink at the bar by yourself and make that decision there because nobody will know otherwise.

#30 - ECCIE does not, ... If you are the host of one of these events, we will allow for ONE "announcement" post to inform the membership, which will be immediately locked to prevent further public discussions regarding the event.

sardo, thx for bringing up the idea of gatherings.
they've happened before and they will happen again.
some "private" and some "public".
...[tho i'd rather have a "pubic" gathering :^) ]

some of the problems i've heard and see about prior gatherings are...
* too many people show up, which draws attention unless you are in a totally private or secluded place. you either open it up or you limit attendance.

* unscreened or uninvited people show up and ruin it for others.

* screened or invited people blab to and/or invite others, again causing problems for the others.

* jealousy about the "profits" made on these.

* i'm sure others can cite other problems.

bottom line, to minimized or reduce the number of potential problems w/ discretion and legalities, you really have to control how many attend and where you attend. thus, it needs to be private and invite only. [you even said it below - see bolded word]

if you think you can handle all the work for a friendly public gathering and are willing to take on the headaches and/or risks, have at it.

just dont go blindly into this thinking, "yeah, sure, providers and clients! no problems!"

Meet and Greets/"Socials" are common on ECCIE and have been going on for years between hobbyists and providers alike. Even though this is an online forum, several people who find that they have the similar interests with another person will find some way to have a social gathering. By far, I have met some spectacular people here!

That being said, (along with the help of some EXCEPTIONAL ladies and gents), I will be taking the opportunity to start a M&G for those who are interested in good food, good drinks, and good conversation. For all the hobbyists and providers who are interested in meeting in a small, intimate setting - please send me a PM!

Quite naturally, only vouched/verified/reviewed individuals are welcome to attend. I don't have time to arrange a meeting among strangers and/or anyone who may have ulterior motives. Also, I don't plan on hosting large parties and/or gatherings of people whereas they would cause suspicion in a public place. Discretion is key.

sounds like a match made in eccie co-ed land... :^)

I was considering trying to start something like this in the Dallas area. I would love to see if people would be interested, and considering I am only about a year into living in Dallas, recommendations for places would also be fantastic. Originally Posted by sardo
