How do you feel about it?

Ah, charging for a meet and greet.

Well, there's a sucker born every minute and a lot of them congregate around here, so power to you. But don't be shocked if this thread has an overall negative impact on your marketing. ijs

As for the other ladies, if you charge for a meet and greet, please note same right here. Then maybe we can get this pinned at the top as a quick reference PSA. No need to defend or justify the charge (I'll do it for you -- time is money, I could have booked another appointment, gas, took me 2 hours to get ready for the m&g, etc.), just let us know if you charge to have a drink with prospective hobby boyfriends at informal first meetings and, if so, how much.

if she offers something you wouldnt pay for much less schedule for, why is that a concern for you? why do you need to state "don't be shocked if this thread has an overall negative impact on your marketing"

she does what she want to do.
you do what you want to do.
as long as you two agree on what you want to do together, what difference does it make what each of you do separately?

i've known some providers that just charged to escort a guy to various functions around town. that charged to read books to a guy. that charged to spank the hell out of the guy. that charged to humilate the guy. that charged to take him to valhalla and back.

charge for a meet and greet [or quickie apparently after reading her clarification]??
worse things have happened. some guys might just want to have a drink w/ a woman.

pay or pay not, as yoda might say.
Why not just put it in their Showcase or ads? Originally Posted by Prolongus

But, as you say, to each his own (and, fwiw, I do draw a distinction between the "dinner and dessert" scenarios and a brief meet and greet...but we're talking about the latter not the former here, or at least we thought we were until our busty visitor from Houston clarified that she was writing about a b&g/quicky type of intimate encounter rather than a m&g).

In real life, sales people do a lot of meet and greet without getting a commission in anticipation of a sale. In fact, that probably takes up a large part of their time.

For just a meet and greet, the price offered sounds quite reasonable provided you retain the option to bail out if you book a fully paid session.

That said, if you post prices for that type of meeting, that is the price to be paid. Haggling is no way to handle it. Pay the price or move on.

so, if a guy communicates to you "hey, will you meet me for 40 or 60 dollars? cos if you dont, i know someone who will?" [that's my take on what you wrote].

just say, "no, i wont. go see her."
while i can understand you feeling disrespected, it's really his problem. not yours.

reminds me of the movie i saw on Showtime Women's last nite.
this young woman was friends w/ this guy who sold beef froma butcher shop. she was a vegetarian and anti-meat industry.
at one point she said [best i can remember] "you know i dont like what you do. does that bother you?" he said "no. that's not my problem. that's your problem." Originally Posted by pmdelites

Slow down, fellas, and read her subsequent post. She's already clarified that she misused the phrase "meet and greet." She was speaking of a "quicky," the rates for which are clearly listed in her showcase.

So, you say I'm a sucker, huh? Well, I don't want to go to jail and have you ever heard of someone being arrested for going to dinner with someone? What cop is going to go that far undercover? I've never heard of it so consider it a form of insurance, or don't. Continue being a cheapskate and date ugly girls. Pretty, young girls get paid for their time and will respond to you if you treat them fairly.

Lunch date seems a bit long for a M&G.

To me M&G means about 15 minutes max, grab a cup of coffee and do a quick "smell test" to verify pictures and personality.

I can see a small "insurance" fee to be applied to the following BCD time to help weed out the time wasters. But hey, people do what they want. Doesn't mean I have to.

Just posted additional thoughts about this on another thread, so I'm not gonna repeat myself.

I had to excuse myself after 30 minutes too. We were having a great conversation. Originally Posted by pfmtony
