Will the Texans take the Colts.

I thought he was a good pick then and he's proving out. AFC South goes through Peyton Manning, so creating pressure on him has to be the top priority of any team that wants to win the division. VY and Bush wouldn't have helped us. Originally Posted by enderwiggin

With that said, I did not have a strong preference at the time between Bush or Mario.

Yep, the Texans surprised the hell outta me yesterday. Colts' receivers were dropping balls all day and that was surprising as well.

The main thing was to get pressure on Manning and the Texans did that. They've ALWAYS gave the Colts hell but just couldn't finish them off. Now that they have a solid running back in Foster along with weapons in the tight-end/wide receiver positions, this team can do some things. They still have a hellified schedule ahead of them. Now they must be consistent and not lay down to teams like the Ravens and the Jets and learn how to beat the hell out of the not-so-good teams as well as the tough ones.

The Texans may have turned the corner as a team. It's only one of sixteen games but I saw a determination that I have never seen from them before for a full game.

Being able to run the ball cures a lot of ills in the NFL. Arian Foster is another Terrel Davis, Mike Anderson, Orlandis Gary, Clinton Portis, etc, etc........A north south runner. Just hit the hole and go. He always makes positive yards and that style seemed to be rubbing off on Steve Slaton.

Foster has enough size to put a lick on most DB's and once you have them thinking about having to make the tackle you've won the battle.

The O-line had the Colt's number yesterday and Vonta Leach was a fucking monster. Dwight Freeney was walking off the field shaking his head.

As good as the running game was I was most impressed by the D-line. That was the one group that needed to step up this year and it looks like they have a whole different attitude. Seeing them get Manning flustered and making mistakes was awesome.

Can Kubiak keep their feet on the ground and keep them hungry? That's the next big test.

Lets just hope they keep that same momentum when the idiots from Dallas roll into town. If they can embarass the Cowgirls my NFL season is made.

Yeah if the Texans can Beat Dallas and get revenge on the Jets I will be pretty happy.

Man I had Arian Foster on the bench for my fantasy team, but this week my starting running backs are Chris Johnson and Arian Foster so I am hoping for a repeat of last week.
Mario is one hell of a player. His first season sux but that was him getting use to the pace. He has been a beast ever since and teams try and run away from his side of the ball. Not to mention he is often double teamed. And now since there is another threat on opposite side,....that means teams will be forced to run up middle.

Go TeXans!!!!! Tailgating time.

However, he is one of the top 5 DE's in the league and if he becomes more consistent, he has the physical ability to be the best! As it relates to the mental aspect of the game, there is still room for improvement. Mario was a beast on Sunday. If he can play consistently at that same level, he will be on the short list for Defensive Player of the Year honors!

Let us hope that 2010 proves to be Mario's breakout season!

Where is Rude when we need him?

Let me point out a few things to everyone. Since the Colts started last year 14-0 they have gone 2-4 and lost by an average of 15 points. They are about to implode. Teams that can run the ball must be licking their chops waiting for them. It does not look good for them.

Foster was made the starting running back in the next to the last game last year. Look at the results, we beat Miami, then New England, totally destroyed the Cowboys in the third game of preseason when all teams play their starters under game conditions for at least a hald to 3 quarters. Then we destroyed the Colts. Next we play a team that had a very hard time scoring 3 points on a team we have blasted. I think we have a great chance to win. The Giants are going to be tough and the Titans are going to be the big test. I think the Titans and Texans are two of the 4 best teams in the AFC.

BL, I like the way you think. I agree the Titans are going to be a tough win.
