I've been trying to figure out how to get you what I owe you ever since I learned I did via public humiliation. Had I known we'd gone over the second time I would have given it to you then and there. I was the one who came out about my mistake the first time, and your temper understandably flared the second time (especially if you thought it was intentional). I only wish to make it right because I'm not a cheap bastard. I know it's asking a lot to be allowed to rectify the same mistake twice. I only hope that the fact that I ask nothing in return demonstrates my sincerity. Some may find it pathetic, but I believe that keeping my agreements is worth a little humility on my part.
