I don't mind taking a chance. BUT, my info stays private, as best as I can in this hobby. At somepoint, providers aren't as dumb as we think, they figure out who we are. That is the inherent risk of the hobby, I think.

There are some wonderfully reviewed providers here, that everyone swears by, and that people say that their personal info is safe.....but I won't give up my info to them at all.

There is one provider who screens, but through posting banter and pm's, actually told me in a PM that I was already "screened" in her book. But when I finally called, she still insisted on too much personal info, so I passed. That was her right to ask anyway, and my right to not give up the info.

I could be wrong, but it seems that the whole point of this thread is that someone is trying to accumulate personal info on hobbyists through access to certain provider's client lists...while acting like a friend/advisor/pimp/WK or whatever. That should make everybody open their eyes up wide....and that's why any newbie should have to read AND understand this.

The data miner in our midst, if he is capable of doing what it seems he can, is not too many steps away from having his "stable" start providing pictures of anyone using his girls. Couple that with the mined data (name, employer, SS#'s etc....) and this gets beyond concerning. Last thing I want is some anonymous pimp with all my personal info, and photos.......the possibilities are frightening.

Sounds crazy, but is it that far fetched to think about? Just asking......

As Adlib had problems with a provider in Rochester, they stated fighting with each other. I remember that ADlib got banned for his part, but the provider did not. I never got all from other what he did to her. But it seems he outed some of her real life info, and as he had control of her website he deleted it.

This starting my problems with local mods. But at same time thinking what is the local mod ta do. VPN VPN VPN, he had providers and other members using VPN. VPN makes it hard to tell who is who and just who all has control of any one account. I would have to think mods do not want ban many accounts cutting off some members for no good reason. Just to get one to mmmm six accounts. No easy way to tell who is who, and who was who. I'm sure eccie does not have a US military hacker. So now ya stuck no matter what one is thinking. Now I have to be thinkin also some members knowingly or not. After all a bit with Adlib and more so with XY. XY seemed ta have a in with the flavors of the month mmmm make that months.. ahhhh VPN VPN VPN. Some time latter he brings a provider to the AC for a small M&G. Most did not see it. a few others did. But to me he seemed to control just who all was going to get to see the provider BCD. Before hand I did not try and stop anyone from coming to Rochester, yet I did try and stop her from coming to the bar.mmmm easy to see in posts and that I did not stop a thing.

In the background I getting more story's of XY some just coming to me, others by pulling teeth. As I along not trusting local mods and sayin nothing.

Then I starting hearing of the one provider that had a problem with a date that he screened. That leads to I believe her being dumped by him from what I being told. And the destroying of any and all emails text or any other data he could get his hands on to cover up what went down, and all his ties to it. At this point BCC all PM and my reply's from mods to admins. Not trusting and thinkin or there hands maybe tied mmm or both. remember VPN VPN VPN

I rather XY handle not be banned. But be made into a agency account or become a known eccie registered helper without PA. Wishing there was a way to force him to use a static IP when on eccie. All so as a better way to keep a eye on him.

As a complete FNG here on the board, I have to admit that this thread is confusing. I did finally see a VP, and gave her my work info as a screening mechanism. I then joked about providing my CC and SSN (I would say that I am not that stupid, but I did provide my work info... which was stupid). I was very anxious after reading this entire thread and then I got super paranoid. I went from being kind of excited about busting my provider cherry, to super paranoid. I truly appreciate the words of wisdom I have received from many of the veterans of this board, as well as a few of the VPs. Hopefully being screened once and having a reference now will suffice, as I will never give out personal info again.
