Steelers 2024 thread

Fields isn't the reason they lost either of the 2 games. He's completing 2/3 of his passes, he's not turning the ball over with any regularity, and he's like having an extra running back on the field. He has nearly twice as many TDs as Mahomes thru 6 weeks. I have no idea what your problem is with the kid, but you're making a silly argument for him to be benched. Originally Posted by tommy156

I stated his qbr is 20 th, he is not anywhere near as accurate as wilson and wilson has a better command of checkdowns. If tomlin starts wilson, he must feel the same way
I think fields has done a good job overall but take out last game and are scoring average is not good enough to beat elite teams. Maybe wilson will improve that, maybe not
I'm still not seeing any official announcement Originally Posted by tommy156

I like Fields but he has been lucky with the turnovers. I’d like to see what Wilson can do.

They just dont score enough to compete at a higher level

Wilson was brought here to start. Lets see how he does

For thoses who say tomlin is going to screw up fields mentally by sitting him, well if the kid is that easily screwed up, he aint the future anyway. I think he will handle it fine

Fields has been improving every week. Neither of the two losses were his fault. The offense keeps getting better. I think the 32 points last week was just the beginning of what this offense can accomplish.

If Tomlin benches Fields for Wilson, all I can say is, it better fucking work.

The Steelers are 2nd in rushing attempts and 30th in passing attempts. Unless Tomlin does a 180 and lets Wilson air it out, I doubt he’ll be any better than Fields.

So, Wilson processes the field faster?

Nope

Qb rushing average....

2024 fields. 4.2 per attempt
2023 wilson. 4.3 per attempt

I guess wilson is a better runner than fields by that stat. Lol

U know what stat i look at other than win/loss?

Points scored.... time will tell...

But are the Steelers going to pay a guy who’s going to be 37 next year? What’s the use. Fields has improved his game since he’s been here. He’s 25. Younger than Pickett. We’ll see Sunday.

Bradshaw and Ben would stick with Fields.

They interviewed Fields today and he handled it like a pro! I have a lot of respect for him. Hate this move more and more. Predictable play calls, below average skill position guys and an injured/poor O-line isn’t exactly QB friendly.
We’ll see.
