Won't speak for Tommy but I find it unconvincing why I should peg to Jan 2025 when Trump and JV complained about March 2024 pricing.

Hell, in Sept 2024 he was complaining they were above $1.50 so $2.99 is reasonable to hold them to

Of course you want to tar Trump with Biden's sins! Sorry Gristle, you're not getting away with it.

Eggs are just one of countless Biden fuck-ups that you never called him out for at the time - yet you now demand instant clean-up by trump.

But thanks for prolonging this thread. It has allowed me to point out how the clean-up is proceeding nicely.

Wholesale egg prices are down 50% since Jan. 20. Retail prices are following. The latter just fell 13% last month, dragging down the overall cost of groceries.

Can you say "thank you, Donny"? Can you say "thank you, Brooke"?

Can anyone even remember the name of Joey's Agriculture Secretary, whose gross incompetence and inaction created the mess in the first place?

Me neither!

Trump ran on fixing those sins. Besides, it's what's best for the country.

An affordable breakfast that eludes us still.

Real eggs in cakes.

The American dream, provided that he can get those prices down to $2.99 and keep em down. Progress has been made in some regards, but still a long way to go.

Thanks for the civics lesson, Gristle!
FTFY, tommy.

Nobody gives a shit about "wholesale".

Eggs were cheaper under Biden. Full stop.

Nope. Average wholesale US egg prices are now roughly 1/2 their level on the day Biden left office.

That's an indisputable fact. Verified by the smart folks over at Trading Economics.

Why don't you show some free-enterprise initiative, tommy? If retail prices look too high, start a business buying eggs wholesale and delivering them to retailers. (Feel free to skim some of the inventory for your personal consumption.)

Don't those fat profit margins look tempting? Better move fast, they won't last.
I've never once mentioned wholesale egg prices - except when responding to your nonsense.

Retail prices are what matters. But you knew that already. Egg prices are higher now than they were a year ago. Indisputable fact.

Do you know how to use google? Just type in "cheapest eggs near me" and see what pops up. Here's a dozen large Grade A eggs in stock at Target in Upper St. Clair for only $3.99.

Go get 'em, tommy! Chop, chop!

Some delicious egg talk right here. Let's get these retail prices back down to $2.99

Why yes, I believe it was! So that's what trump inherited. $4.95 a dozen. Retail.

As I just informed tommy, I can hop in my car right now, drive out to the local Target store and pay $3.99 for the same dozen size/grade eggs.

Would you kindly explain to tommy that 3.99 < 4.95?

Thanks in advance.

If prices were down 97-98% like he said they were the we'd be under $2.99 and we'd all be a lot happier.

Would that be nice? He better get to work

When will you finally take Salena Zito's advice to heart? It's been almost 9 years now.

Stop being such an easy mark for trump's trolling.
It's not about settlling for the "cheapest eggs near me". That $3.99 dozen you're talking about was $2.99 last year, by the way.

You still don't get it. You're just not very good at this.
