Off the Clock

I like the "boring" side of you. It is much less abrasive than whatever other side you usually show. Just be sure to bring it with you when you come to Rochester. Originally Posted by China Doll

I believe China's charm and style would override any differences between the persona and image of Ms. Hepburn. I sense her beauty is equal to or exceeds Audrey's. (disclaimer: I have never met China nor been to Rochester ).
You are basing that statement on the fact that Doove is smitten?

I have seen China and while she may not be a doppelganger for Ms Hepburn, she's certainly evokes her and is every bit as lovely (not being gallant here, I went back and played a few clips from AH's films to see her in more than just stills to validate my premise and I stand by it). I've rarely seen a more apt avatar on so many levels.

So yes, perfect avatar choice, China!

But when I think of China, I don't think about Audrey, I think about China!
She is an amazing, one of a kind, incredible young woman.

However, her charm, style, and beauty does not need to compete with Audrey. It's just a nice, elegant, and obviously provocative, avatar! China is independently charming, elegant, and beautiful, to say the least. (disclaimer: I have met China, and I live in Rochester).
Joshua, you had better stop, or these compliments will start to go to my head! Thank you.
You gentleman will be the end of me. My head will get so big that I will be insufferable!

But back to the thread - if it's still alive......

OTC time is a nice idea, for some people, some times.....but is seldom - if ever - a good idea in the long run, for either the client or the provider.

Beyond that easy recipe for success.... human relationships are VERY complicated, so if ever something were to 'work', outside of the client/provider scenario, then it would be VERY complicated.....not a good idea for weak souls.....but you never know - we humans are amazing creatures!

Get a room guys!

Anyways, I like China myself. She's on my must meet list. Very lovely lady.
Alex,
I've had this happen multiple times. I think it's more common when you have a public honest blog for clients to feel like they know you and want to hang out with you off the clock.

It makes for a awkward sometimes bitter situation on both parts. I have told men "No" in the past and they have told me "you're only about the money" and gotten upset.
Well that's how you met me and now you want to change the rules.

In some cases, with repeat clients who are interested in seeing me off the clock, i tell them I'm more than willing to meet them in public for a drink or dinner, but there will be no "private" time without compensation.

On the other hand as I have detailed, I am "dating" a former client right now. I think it just depends on if you have any mutual interest in the guy. If you know he can't afford to spend thousands of dollars just to hang out with you, but you also want to hang out with him, you might consider seeing him off the clock.
