Odds on Trump's Impeachment

Oh...and the protesters in the streets. Ha! It's their right as Americans to protest of course. But had "We" done that 8 or 4 years ago (with a black president having been elected and re-elected)....all of us would be labeled as Nazis..Racists...Pro-KKK...oh, wait. We're called that today anyways.....never mind. Originally Posted by Chateau Becot

Just curious. Other than Obama being black what was so controversial? He was a socialist, Muslim that was born in Kenya. That sort of thing?

A federal judge on Wednesday (03/15/2017) stopped President Trump’s second attempt to temporarily ban visa holders from several majority-Muslim countries — and nearly all refugees — from entering the United States, hours before it was supposed to take effect. The ruling found that the order likely violates a constitutional prohibition against religious discrimination.

People taking to the streets. Violent, hate-filled protests that ensued. Destruction of personal and private property. Anyone remotely appearing to be a Trump supporter attacked verbally and / or physically (ie: a 16 year old kid assaulted by adults....my god. What?)

Ask me all you wish what I or others "might have" protested about Barry being elected in 2008, fine. Okay, was he a (closet) muzzie? I don't know. Kinda acted like he was at times. Was he black? Yeah, I guess he was. Kenyan? Who knows...

Now while that "little detail" might have irritated some, surely we didn't see hordes of people in the streets days after the election or the day of the inauguration, smashing out windows, pepper-spraying people, setting shit on fire, acting like thugs / criminals now, did we? Dollars to donuts that stuff would've been front page news (and splattered all over MSNBC, CNN, etc, etc....)

But it wasn't....'cause it didn't take place.

Quick story......I went (with my daughter) to the Women's March the day it was held locally / internationally to satisfy my curiosity (and to support her, of course). I asked questions amongst the women (and men) attending "Why and What" was their cause, reason, motives, etc for being there and making a stand that day. The answers were somewhat surprising.

Nine outa ten were there to protest the election results, period...to protest Donald Trump. Many still refused to believe he was actually the president. Some told me they were there because of "peer pressure" (lol). Some told me they were protesting DT simply because they "just hated him for being him" (but couldn't give more than one logical, reasonable reason for those negative feelings towards a human being they'd never actually met). And some were there to champion their cause...Planned Parenthood...abortion rights..."Don't Grab my Pussy"...Russians and "hacking"...gender identification rights (that one still mystifies me so "no comment"...)

I left the march feeling how different...how far apart the two sides were still. Hopeful, however, that time would heal any and all wounds and as a nation we could still find some common ground to build on and move forward. But concerned that the left has no desire whatsoever to give this president a chance to prove himself. And that maybe is the biggest difference I currently see....'cause I sure didn't feel things were that way eight years ago.

Lastly....Cg, Trump isn't "my idol", dude.....far from it in fact. God, Family and Football pretty much sums me up (oh, and a really good bottle of wine on occasion, too)...the order of those things just depends on the time of the year, that's all. Can't be any more honest than that.
Honestly... I'll be surprised if he makes it a year. The news cycle is constant chaos in the US and that disrupts the dollar which most world economies are based on - having moved off of the gold standard.

Well that didn't work. And to be clear Obama had the popular & electoral votes wrapped up. So congress was not so much going against Obama but the will of the people. The people wanted a Blue President and a Red Congress. They expected one to temper the other but still govern. This country is running of CRs instead of a budget because of that.

Public officials have publicly said racist things about the Obamas. Google it. Don't take my word.
He was not the first presidential candidate to be born outside of the U.S. One was born to people in Arizona prior to Arizona being a state. While we are on it, McCain was born to U.S citizens in the Panama canal.

Obama was dogged about his citizenship constantly. He produced a Hawaiian birth certificate. That should have ended something that was never started. However, just for good measure his mother was an American citizen. His father resided in the states for a time. Under the 1790 & 95 Naturalization acts. Because his mother was a white US citizen, and his father resided here for a time, even with the "white" clause, that clause would pertain to his mother not her son. They were so racist then they could not fathom the idea of a white person gicing birth to a half black baby. Rather, even though we know Jefferson did father a few babies from slaves, him and others didn't want to put in writing the possibility. Sorry for that last rabbit trail.
Point is even if he were born in Kenya, he would have been considered American, naturally.

Why wasn't McCain given as hard of time? We know why......

The president is president from noon on day 1 till noon 4 years later. The Senate refused to do their job of advising & consenting to his supreme court pick with more than a year remaing in his term. Moreover they refused to even give it a vote. They didn't hold a vote because they new it would place his pick on the court. A year left, Obama had. He would have the right to nominate someone on his last day before noon.

Any claim that all people were just respectful and polite to Obama is crap. Many were. Someone keeps referring to President Obama as "berry" here. That's really respectful.

Obama did nothing but bring respect to that office. Trump cannot seem to stop disgracing it. It's not even Trumps politics that I can't stand. It's simply how he is conducting himself in that office.

But seriously Obama a closet "Muzzie", Maybe he was born in Kenya. You seem far to educated to really believe that. "Kinda acted like it"-lol. He sure bombed the shit out of his Muslim brothers. Dont you think it would be pretty easy to find out if he was "secretly" born in Kenya? Seriously CB, do you really believe this?

I stopped at Tea Party rallies and mingled and asked questions. I got the same responses. Same story, diffirent side. Mostly just pissed off Americans trying to believe everything was going to be ok

What really blows me away is people really believe that Obama was a Kenyan born Muslim who snuck in the backdoor. That would be as crazy as Donald Trump actually be ing POTUS

As far as the wall and Mexico paying for it goes, it's not a lie if he simply fails to come up with a way for Mexico to pay for it. It's just a failure to perform. It's only a lie if he never intended to try to get Mexico to pay for it and he told us otherwise.

I have made a u turn on DJT. I hope he does make the full term. Seeing the Republican hate machine of Pence, Ryan, McConnell, Sessions, etc, licking their chops, just waiting for DJT to fail, has made me reconsider. I don't want that other racist bunch in control of the country.

DJT will keep the GOP from getting anything done. The DJT show is already getting old.

3 years, 9 1/2 more months ? I don't think America can keep this winning streak alive that long.

We need to keep the racist we voted for. This is America! DJT bought this election fair and square

The wall is coming... Don't worry. It's on the way. Mexico will pay for the wall one way or another. It baffles me that you you think the USA can't get Mexico to pay for the wall. We are not holding a gun to their heads. It is more like...
"You start accepting the illegals we send back to you and you enforce your border on your side. You don't encourage your nationals to come across our border illegally. If you don't, we will cut off subsidies to your country and we will make your life financially more difficult." Mexico loves all the money they get back from the USA. The mexican government has ties to the cartels and drug money. They LOVE LOVE LOVE the illegal drugs and money coming back to their nation. It is again baffling that an American citizen would side with the Mexican government on this issue. It not only shows a lack of loyalty to the United States but a lack of common sense (IMO). Maybe you just like avocados too much. The wall is coming.
TONE matters. Already illegal immigration is down. When people know the law will be enforced then they are less likely to break it. If nothing else the goal is being met.

There wasn't a big to do about immigration in the past because we didn't have radical islamists shooting people and blowing shit up. It's like being at a free swimming pool and everyone is having a great time. The more people that show up the more fun. Until some of the people start taking a dump in the pool. Then the people who were at the pool first have two choices... 1. Accept the fact that their pool is ruined and leave or 2. Enforce the rules of the pool and be more selective of who gets in
God Damnit it would be nice if we could let in everybody. it's not always feasible though.
The argument of the liberal would be... You don't get to choose who comes in and who doesn't. This isn't your country.
I BEG TO DIFFER and guess who won the election? DONALD J TRUMP
He won the White vote by a staggering amount. He didn't win just the men. He won the women and the men. FYI before 1965 85% of the country was white. If The liberals had not changed the immigration policies in 1965 then Donald J Trump would have won by 50 million votes and maybe more. The liberals have been chipping away at the immigration policies for a long time to change the identity of the country. Add to that all the illegals we gave amnesty to under Reagan. There was a high level of disrespect for law and order. THATS WHY WE VOTED FOR TRUMP. MAKE SENSE NOW? AMERICANS WERE TIRED OF BEING CIVIL TO A BUNCH OF PEOPLE WHO DISRESPECT OUR LAWS AND DON'T PUT AMERICA 1ST. I have no problem with people coming in from other cultures (White, black, brown, yellow). I don't like the fact that they tend to vote democrat however and many hate white people and average americans. Hence the reason people love it when he says, "We are going to bring people in who love our culture and people!" The media talked shit all the way til the time they lost the election. They made it almost impossible to publicly support DJT. Threats of violence against his supporters. Hillary called them deplorable. The most one sided coverage in history. Then when they lost they have the balls to blame it on RUSSIAN interference. All it means is that they still have not learned their lesson and now we are going to have to keep going until they get it.
Trump and his supporters are carrying the rest of the country kicking and screaming.
