And I never thought Alabama would elect a Democrat to the Senate in 2017. A state Trump won by 29% in 2016. Yes, the Republican was a 100% certified bigot but Trump backed him. Politics is obviously more important than integrity.

There is a special election in Pennsylvania's 18th Congressional District on March 13th. This is Trump country and he won the district by 20 points in 2016. Democrat Conor Lamb vs. Republican Rick Saccone. Both Trump and Pence have visited the area in support of Saccone. A great deal of money has been spent in support of Saccone. This election has been called a "must-win" for Trump after recent disasters at the polls for Republicans. Saccone is the favorite but by much less than 20 points. I would tend to agree. However, in my opinion he is racially insensitive. His comments on blacks usually show he has little understanding of black culture. Both he and I grew up in N.Y. city suburbs at the same time. I went to public schools through HS with many non-white students. Trump went to private schools, predominantly white, possibly all white. I served in the army which is heavily black. Trump did everything he could to avoid military service.

Point is the only black people he has come in contact with throughout his life have been affluent blacks. Here is an article citing a handful of comments that Trump has made about blacks and other minorities. Like I keep saying -- Trump is his own worst enemy.

There are many reasons why only about 10% of blacks support Trump and much of that has to do with his lack of understanding about how his comments are derogatory towards blacks. When Trump calls predominantly black countries "shitholes" that is interpreted by most people, black, white, or other, as being totally derogatory against all blacks.

You seem to neglect the fact that Trump's approval ratings, both in this country and outside, are borderline pathetic. Unlike you, most people do NOT give unwavering support to Trump.

Being politically correct is one thing. Taking into account how your words will affect the lives of others is different.
