I'm not sure what to make of it, but maybe the moral of the story there is that the wifey should be the one to go out in public to pick up hubby's beer and some groceries - for the common good of the team. Men do not seem to be adhering to the safety precautions as much as women. When I venture out among the public these days, I would estimate women wearing masks in about a 2-1 ratio over men. Or it could be more men are out in public than women, as you suggested. Again, see second sentence in point 1.
