I used to like to paint my face on Halloween. For several Halloween's I've made hats.
I remember one Halloween, I dressed up as Alex in a Clockwork Orange, face all painted up, wearing "droog" clothes, one false eyelash, and a bowler hat with pinwheels on springs sticking out of the top of the hat. It was windy out, and I took a bus there, and I got a kick out of the wind whipping the pinwheels around, as well as the looks I got on the bus.
There's a parade they do in Dallas every year around Halloween, where an entire street is blocked off, and everyone dresses up and parades down an aisle in the middle of the street fenced off on both sides of the aisle. The year I went, 4 people dressed up as a roller coaster ride, each person covered by a seat, from the waist up as the person sitting on the seat, with fake legs sticking out from the seat. The best part was they moved in synchrony, weaving back and forth, and shaking just like they were on a roller coaster.
