Prices usually change because of supply or demand. Has supply increased or demand dropped? I think seasonal demand has dropped. I am not traveling this season. Originally Posted by txdot-guy

I heard the sought after details had to get pulled from other sources but are showing a steepening drop in jobs and increases in unemployment claims.

Who gets credit for low gas when there's an employment crisis on the horizon. Credit debt over 1 trillion etc. MAGA gonna find out the hard way
you guys are crazy always trying to assign blame for everything

First, they accused trump of failing to lower gas prices, as promised. Now that gas prices are indeed softening across the nation, they're changing their tune and saying it's only because the economy is headed for a recession lol.

Unfortunately for Democrats (but happily for everyone else), the economy is still growing robustly. Real GDP expanded at an annual rate of around 3.5% in the third quarter (Atlanta Fed estimate) and is likely to close the fourth quarter with a further gain of 2.0% (with much of the slowdown due to Chucky Schumer's 43-day government shutdown).

The "Big Picture" point to remember is:

- Democrats are rooting for higher gas prices and a nasty recession.

- Republicans, by contrast, are working hard to deliver lower gas prices and stable, non-inflationary economic growth.

If either of you were smart, you'd thank OPEC+ and increased efficiency domestically for the production increases since domestic rig counts are way down. And lower demand.

It's not drill, baby, drill. And we just came off a high travel holiday.

Thanks for playing, boys
