I always thought the strongest fervor for guns of unlimited firepower - however irrational - would come from those who want to protect themselves from the tyrannical government (which has tanks and nuclear missiles). I did not expect such strong passion from "recreational" users who want to have access to the latest "technology" - no matter how massively lethal such hi-tech "toys" are when used as killing machines. You want the truth, ban the high capacity magazine, but not the rifle. I can live with a magazine that holds 10 to 15 rounds. More than that is not necessary, but that is just my opinion.
