Political speech is about saying whatever a particular group wants to hear. In those terms what's important is saying anything that will be received favorably, whether it's valid or not.

Hear are a few of the things Trump has told us, which shouldn’t have been talk but action:
“I’ll be able to make sure that when you walk down the street in your inner city, or wherever you are, you’re not going to be shot”
“Your CHILD isn’t going to be shot.”
“The crime and violence that today afflicts our nation will soon come to an end,”
So in the time of his presidency:
We people have been killed at a church, schools, concert. That seems like the exact opposite of his words about whoever you are you’re not going to be shot.
This is why people shouldn’t talk about the difference Trump will present. Trump is a flawed (more flawed than most) human. He will do the things people hated others doing, like talking about changes he can bring and then not bring.
