Actually-- not completely unbelievable. Chase has a history of shutting down accounts if they even THINK they could possibly be adult related. Money rule #1. Cars depreciate in value thus are not a good investment. Most people that are into a fancy cars are more worried about impressing people than they are spending or investing their money wisely.

I'm sincerely not impressed by anyone with a fancy car because I could afford one yet I choose to spend my money more wisely.

I agree that perhaps the car wasn't the best decision of the year-- but in her case, it was what she wanted. If anything, it may have helped her out by spurring her to work harder so that she can maintain the lifestyle she wants.

When you're raised with money.. and then things happen and you're knocked down to nothing-- you tend to be on a mission to "prove" yourself. While I've chided her both publicly and privately about her need to prove her monetary worth--- I do understand where it comes from, even if I don't agree with it.
