They've got a deal. A great deal. Some might say the best. And when it's finished they tell me it will be the best.

Markets are looking for reasons to pop, so they'll pop on forward progress. Sadly, the deal is a dud for the moment Originally Posted by HDGristle

While many details of the agreement have yet to be fine-tuned, Trump described the deal as a "conclusive one,” saying "the final details" were "being written up in the coming weeks." He went on to say the agreement affirms that "reciprocity and fairness is an essential and vital principle of international trade."

It’s a formality Mr Gristle. You’re on the wrong side of history.

Trump also said it was full and comprehensive. So when he says conclusive we know he means fluid

Among those relieved voices are Keir Starmer, who credits this new deal as being the product of a government who “stands up, not stands aside”.

“This historic deal delivers for British business and British workers protecting thousands of British jobs in key sectors including car manufacturing and steel,” the Prime Minister has said.

“My government has put Britain at the front of the queue because we want to work constructively with allies for mutual benefit rather than turning our back on the world.”

GB was in the “front of the queue”!!!!!!!!

Ain't done until the details are worked out. Do you usually count chickens before they hatch?

This deal is done. On to the next one. Bessent is meeting with the Chinese in Switzerland this weekend. Onwards and upwards!!!! But sit there with severe TDS hoping that the country fails. So sad.

If the deal was done they wouldn't be working out details.

It's like an agreement in principle. Devil's ultimately in the details

This isn't even like cooking where you have a done versus ready situation

If they had a full and comprehensive deal and it was a good one, markets would soared. How much British beef do you plan on buying?

I know you’re having trouble with Trumps success. Hang tough brohammer. It’s all going to work out.

So no British beef. Not shocking. The Brits think its pretty weird this was highlighted too
Stocks rose Thursday after President Trump announced a new trade agreement with the United Kingdom.

The S&P 500 gained 55 points, or 1%, to 5,686, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 408 points, or 1%, to 41,523. The Nasdaq Composite also made gains, rising 1.3%.

Mr. Trump announced the trade deal with the United Kingdom Thursday morning from the Oval Office, saying it will include "billions of dollars of increased market access for American exports, especially in agriculture." He added that the U.K. will eliminate non-tariff barriers that "unfairly discriminated against American products." Originally Posted by bambino

Yes. Absolutely expecting a pile of half-baked deals of middling quality.

It’s a concept of a framework of a deal … in principle?

Basically.

I keep seeing people call it a domino. It seems more like a rough sketch of a plan on a napkin in crayon for ordering 3 mediums from Domino's... but no ideas yet on the crust, sauce or toppings

Tariffman is threatening the country of Mattel with 100% tariffs. The country of Hasbro is kinda giggling about it but also recognize that the Grinch is already planning to steal Christmas

Stable genius my ass. Sadly, the threat and calling Mattel, one of the U.S. and the world's biggest toy manufacturers a country actually happened.

Get this man a nap before he tanks the markets again. Some real deals would do it. Nothing like synthetic fixes or artificial problems you created

So, you’re calling other world leaders liars. If you say so. Originally Posted by bambino

If it was genuine, there wouldn't need to be these public and sad undue adulation and praises. The guy sits and spouts out about ppl "kissing his ass", "Sir- please lets make a deal", (on tariffs) and to further understand his need of praise, we see his cabinet being the biggest proponents of doing exactly that. What a ruse, and power trip for him, and the mindless lemmings that need to see dear leader heaped with so much brandishment of flattery.

It's literally gagging and fake as fuck
Also- 1 supposed tariff deal supposedly signed- vs. the 200 he said he's already done....'c'mon man. THat dog don't hunt. The great embellisher is shining his pretend trophies!

Lacking any humility, morals, or ethics is what you have in this office. A carnival barker who doesn't know when the show starts, stops or in between.

Of course, maybe he was counting Mattel, Hasbro and each of the Parker brothers as countries. That would explain things
