It doesn't matter ... if he was reaching for any object that appears to be a weapon under those circumstances ... the officers are justified in using deadly force to stop him from using the weapon ... they don't have to wait until he uses it or they determine if it is in fact a weapon.
That's a little suggestion for those of you who carry your ID/Insurance information in a glove box or other compartment when the officer is standing their asking you for it.
If anyone wants to "argue" the point ... I'll produce sufficient case law (from appeals) stating essentially what I posted above. It was the lie I was protesting not whether a gun had to be there to justify the shooting.
The fact that CNN was promoting an agenda rather than reporting the facts and the facts are that no report of a gun or no gun had been made at the time they reported no gun, is what riled me.
