I heard about Debs going to prison for sedition, never heard what he supposedly did.

he must've had sucky lawyers to let the feds walk all over him. weren't there newspaper reporters covering that event? they certainly would have challenged the Fed's account of his speech.

barley, they did have recording equipment, it was not widespread and it was primitive, poor quality and expensive. in other worlds, it was in development hell. you didn't get audio recording equipment of good quality until 1925.
