Soft or Hard?

Obviously you don't work out, because if you did then you'd understand what the mirrors are actually for. They are to gauge form. Lifting weights correctly requires some level of precision or you risk injury and it is much easier to maintain proper form when you can see yourself.

I knew it was you! LOL

True, for some people it can also be a vanity thing, but to categorize everyone who works out that way is completely inaccurate and badly ill-informed. Originally Posted by Biomech

She is an expect at this! You got me on the form thing. Never had a row of people hold numbers rating me while doing the wild thing. But I bet I would get 8 across the board. The one sassy judge might give me a 9! LOL

My ATF hits play on this tune near the end. When I hear it I reposition in the middle of the bed and head for the finish line! Now that I think about it, I wish there was judging! Stricky to gauge my form!

...i work out, and i did not know this.

Easier? Perhaps. Necessary? Nope. I've yet to see a gym that had mirror access at even half the exercise stations. Anyone who is advanced enough to fully appreciate the value of proper form (you know what i'm talking about) can maintain proper form from feel alone. Never once have i used a mirror to make sure i used proper form. In fact, when doing a set in front of the mirror, i'll avoid looking in the mirror as regularly as not. Between sets, however, well, that's a whole 'nother issue.

I'd phrase it the other way around. For some people, i suppose it's possible they might use mirrors to insure proper form (i wouldn't rule anything out), so your suggestion may very well be the intent, as well as the rationale used for spending the money to put them up. But let's be serious, for the vast majority of people, even gym-rats, it's little more than a vanity thing.

Learned that from fucking!
You took the words out of my mouth...To me is it personality, able to converse with me, sense of humor...I always have a weak spot for a slight attitude (in a good way)....
I don't even remember body types, doesn't matter, the most amazing times I ever had was always with the guy that 1) he was genuinely interested in seeing me 2)could carry on a conversation, 3) had a sense of humor 4) was hygienically accomplished. Funny how that's kinda what I look for in my real life...Otherwise hard, average, soft, don't honestly remember, regardless those were awesome dates! Originally Posted by KileeONeil

In any event, that is why gyms have mirrored walls.
I use the gym mirrors to inconspicuously peak at the cute girls... and check form.
