The Ukraine armed forces were happy to receive the M777 howitzers, and are using them to great effect.

Perfect for roasting tanks even before they show up in Ukraine

Good luck sitting in your tank while you get blown up from 25 miles away. Originally Posted by VitaMan

No, I didn't figure you would. Commies gotta commie afterall. Can't admit you were wrong because then every misguided belief you hold near and dear might get called into question. Better to stay the course and hope people just forget about it.. right? that's the commie way..

Still waiting for you to tell me what Ammo you'd call for for tanks in the open! C'mon man... let's roast those Ruskie tanks!!

You planning to get around to answering that? The longer it takes the more I begin to think you don't know what the fcuk you're talking about.

And this is just a small slice of the vast emptiness that is your intellect...

The M777 can hit targets up to 50km away with the Excalibur M982 round, which glides through the air with the aid of fins and is guided by GPS. The shell is reportedly accurate to within 4 meters.

Both the M109A6 Paladin and the M777 use a similar digital fire control system, which increases the accuracy of conventional projectiles, and also allows the use of guided high-precision projectiles M982 Excalibur

The M777 can reach a target at 25 miles with a Circular Error Probable (CEP) of 16 feet

The M777 can use a technology called Rocket Assisted Projectile (RAP) to give it an extra push out to longer ranges. It also achieves increased accuracy due to its M982 GPS Inertially-guided Excalibur rounds.

The accurate Excalibur munition can be fired in glide mode such that its apex can be programmed in by the gunner, instructing it to glide in at a low or high angle to the target.

M982 Excaliburs have an inertial and GPS navigation system
