Why do You Cheat?

I would think that that is true. However, I doubt that any lady has decided to be an escort because she wanted to save marriages. Originally Posted by discreetgent

But it is nice to think that maybe I have helped someone in some way, irregardless.

true. and also, some people prefer to be lied to. That said i am all supportive of escort-client relationships when it comes to this, its a way of acting responsible for other peoples lives. But what i do judge is men dating women for free and having them as secret lovers and make them pay all the emotional debth. And i do not understand (mostly mono) women who would do that anyway. I think monogamy is way too complicated with all its hypocrisies and intricacies. I prefer it simple therefor i am poly :-) Originally Posted by ninasastri

That said, if i have th efeeling i get treated better in a paid companionship, why would i date someone for free ?
I would never ever ever ever ever date a married man again. Originally Posted by ninasastri

I can't imagine straying. Ergo, I'm single. Life is too short and you never know when you may run into that chance encounter. Don't get me wrong I'm all for family, but I have trust issues and it takes a lot for me to become comfortable enough for someone to be a serious companion. I do not give second chances, period. I did and have been burned, it ain't worth the headache.

The only time I have ever cheated was in high school. Never cheated after high school.

Plain and simple. It just gets boring to have sex with the same woman for thirty years. After that amount of time you have done just about everyting you can think of and after that amount of time with one person there is just not much real excitement left. The sex is very nice but just not exciting.

For a man who truely loves women and loves sex, the hobby is a perfect way to indulge in the "box of chocolates" that GP mentioned. The excitement leading up to the encounter is one of the aspects that is makes it enjoyable. Then there is the discovery of what the provider looks like in person and how she is personality wise. Then finally there is the sex with a new woman. The whole experience to me is what life should be all about.

Then there is the wonderful joy of by chance, meeting someone who is just a delight to spend time with. It really is like a box of chocolates, you just don't know what you are going to get.

Yes, GP, you are a joy to spend time with.

People cheat or don't cheat for very personal reasons as it is a very personal decision.

For the most part, cheating with escorts is benign, and men cheating is less devastating to a marriage than a woman cheating. Hypocritical, but true.

No links or studies here...just anecdotal evidence...

Erosion of trust is what kills a marriage. Cheating/infidelity - however one chooses to define it - is just one of the ways that erosion of trust manifests itself.
