I agree with some of this, however I think it to be a bit presumptuous to think that if one puts someone on ignore they have "no use for knowledge in ALL forms"..(I can find my knowledge in a lot more places than on a hooker board.)....When I put someone on ignore, I don't feel I'm missing out on any knowledge, there are several people on here that I get into debates with quite a bit, I don't put those people on ignore because even though we may not have always agreed, I still respect their opinions, understand them and find them to be pretty intelligent.
My reasoning for putting someone on ignore is because I care not for them, nor do I care what they have to say...period, and I will add, I only put someone on ignore after they have track record of being rude and malicious for no reason, why would I want to subject myself to people who consistently stalk me (in a negative way) all over the boards? When I can simply put them in ignore and think nothing more of them and go on posting as usual, without drama.... Originally Posted by Valerie

" come to those who have not actively "Stalked" you.... but who just sternly disagreed with you...... I actually thought for a while there I was one of the ones who was on that list because I disagreed with you in the past..... I can understand the wishes to simply not hear/read from them to some extent.... but I go back to my statement of instead of ignoring them, simply know who it is and either skim or outright dismiss what they have to say.... by putting them on ignore and consistantly aknowlegding their place on the ignore list either here or elsewhere, isn't that in fact a perpetuation of Drama? Albeit in a different form? and does this not contridict the first line of your signature about censorship? Just an inquiring mind that would like to know.....

The Ignore button is for emotional cripples...if you're taking an Internet message board so serious that you have to avoid seeing things people type just to keep yourself from getting upset, then you've got issues beyond what this board can solve...
