Good point, we don't know what the outcome of the talks will be. Trump is an enigma. It's possible he'll negotiate a world with lower tariffs, where the Chinese don't take advantage of us. Or it's possible he'll really muck things up. I'm afraid it's the later. He does posture to try to get an advantage, like he did with North Korea. He does change his mind, either because it's to his political advantage or because he believes he was wrong. On trade though, he appears to really believe what he says.
