Let's Review the Election Results

Senate gains were significant for Republicans but fairly meaningless when you look at the 2020 presidential race

Bingo!

Senate gains were significant for Republicans but fairly meaningless when you look at the 2020 presidential race -- ND, Indiana, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas -- these are all states that Trump won in 2016 and will win in 2020. Arizona and Florida, 2 states that could go either way in 2020, were neck-and-neck.

The other states that were very significant in Trump's 2016 victory -- Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania -- all elected Democratic Senators by rather healthy margins. All 3 elected Democratic governors. Will this mean anything come 2020? Too early to tell.

First things first. Democrats must come up with a Presidential candidate that does not carry the baggage that Clinton did and who is not too far to the left. Originally Posted by SpeedRacerXXX

That hasn’t happened by a President in their first midterm elections. 9 out of 11 candidates that Trump campaigned for win. The ones that didn’t want him to come lost. And there will be a battle for House leadership. If the Dems go with the far left, they’re House will disappear in 2020.

The guy is in Austin where all the retarded libs are.

Ok - you went back to this. In another thread someone said you predicted a blue wave and you got on there and said you didn't. It's easy to see how folks could think that after reading our posts. I honestly do not think I predicted a red wave however, I'm not gonna go back and try to find it. To the best of my memory I did not think either side would produce a "wave." I knew Cruz would win. That was a no brainer.

I do think Trump will win in 2020. The dems still don't have a message unless you know of one and can enlighten me. Originally Posted by Austin Ellen

So as of yet I cannot find a statement by you predicting a "Red Wave" so until I can find one, I will apologize to you for what could be a mis-statement on my part.

And where did repealing tax reform or impeaching anyone come from?

Why did conservatives choose Trump over hildebeest in 2016? Judicial appointments.

What motivated conservatives to the polls in 2018? The Kavanaugh hearings.

That ain't goinna change in 2020. So, no, the 2018 win in the Senate isn't meaningless regarding the 2020 campaign season.

Look at Dan Chenshaw in the Texas 2nd.

The Rep- Elect said everyone should stop attacking each other's intent because they disagree. Everyone should try to lower the tempature instead of raising it.

If I could I vote for this guy.
The results of last night will not be known untill we see how the Democrats handle their control of the House.

If they follow the lead of Nadler, Cummings, Waters and a few other entrenched members and waste 2 years trying to undo the 2016 Presidential Election, they will pave the way for President Trump's re-election. Originally Posted by Jackie S

Tt's time for the Democrats to stop fighting the President and help him govern.

And yes, President Trump needs to get with reasonable Democrats and work out great solutions for the Country. Originally Posted by Jackie S

T
Keep in mind, all of this is going down with President Trump fighting a 88 percent negative reporting from all Main Stream Media Outlets.

Just think what he could accomplish with just a smidgen of support from the Press. Originally Posted by Jackie S

You are certainly welcome to your OPINION as to why people voted for Trump over Clinton in 2016. Or what drove Conservatives to the polls in 2018. Nothing to back it up though.

Dim-retards Just Confirmed Lots Of Trump’s Judges So They Could Skip Town

Aug 29, 2018

WASHINGTON ― Senate Democrats just gave a huge gift to President Donald Trump: They agreed to expedite votes on 15 of his nominees to lifetime federal court seats because they wanted to go home.

Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) had lined up votes for all those district court nominees last week. Normally, Senate rules require up to 30 hours of waiting time for each nominee ― something Democrats typically take advantage of to delay action on confirming Trump judges. But Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (N.Y.) cut a deal with McConnell on Tuesday to bypass the wait times and let them all get through....

Trump has gotten 26 circuit court judges confirmed, more than any other president at this point in his term. Another way of putting it: 1 in 7 U.S. circuit court seats is now filled by a judge nominated by Trump.

What this really means is that Collins and Murkowski no longer have any power to stop Trump's GOP from going off the rails and into the morass. That doesn't mean the new senators are people of no integrity and shouldn't be trusted to do what's best for the people they serve.

But just in case ... The House of Representatives and the fucking constitution are standing by to keep the nuts in check.

Stay tuned.
