I guess we sort of have a humanitarian interest and perhaps a mild security interest in seeing that it, like any country, just doesn't completely go to shit. Of course he does. The sad part is he is not smart enough to realize that oil is a world resource that all those other countries could never use. Without our consumption the price of oil would be 10 dollars and the ME countries wouldn't have shit by way of money. They need us amore than we need them. We would all be driving smaller crs but the flip side is we would not have dead soldiers in that part of the world protecting oil profits.
