Best Whisky?

Johnnie Walker Blue label is my drug of choice.

I really like Booker's small batch (made by Booker Noe, Jim Beam's late grandson) 126-130 proof and smooth with a kick. Suggested to be served with a small quantity of ice made from distilled water.

Dallas, I used to enjoy it with my ex's tits so it must be good on ice!!!!
Years ago, when I was drafted into the Army, the PX carried Jim Beam.

It is still my favorite, even though it is now owned by somebody in Japan.

If the age on the bottle is correct, I might be dead by the time they start bottling the new stuff.

Rimfire took a bronze at the March 2014 American Craft Distillers Association Annual Convention that I mentioned above. The 2015 convention is in Austin and I'm considering a road trip, as a friend is relocating there from KC. And, you get the stump the whisky guy award, as I had to look up Oban. You must try Oban. It is an excellent drop. I find it light and smoky with a good balance. I personally don't add water but then I don't normally take a cask strength.

I agree that I need to try Oban, simply cause what's in my mind is something 1/2 way between Talisker and either Glenfiddich or Glenlivert. With Talisker being very smoky whereas the other 2 are both more delicate. It's rare that I do much with whisky than either neat, or over no more than one or two cubes, so I can enjoy the flavor. Thus, you've presented a temptation that will have to be satisfied.

I recall in single malt school ( yes, I have a diploma) that scotch or any whiskey does not get better with age unless left in the barrel. Once bottled it's done, It will never get better

You're both just getting older!!!!!

Penderyn is also very nice--a Welsh single malt...

Laphroaig is good, don't get me wrong, but I find it too peaty for my taste, no offense.
