These sites are big business, and we do all we can to absorb or spread out the cost (we do use a considerable amount of bandwidth, have extensive security and software expenses) so that our members do not have to spend their hard earned money to use our site. The advertisers are not members, in the pure sense of the term, so, in truth, they are paying for you to use this site. Do you really have a problem with that? If so perhaps you would be happier on a site that charges for it's use so you aren't so offended.
