#26) you do not give a shit about women

Now that would be an extreme form IMHO
Yes, misogyny is more of a doing thing and less of a being thing. Hey, you work with what you're given and I worked within the framework provided. Yes, there is a spectrum of misogyny. Microaggressions that may seem normal to both the giver and the receiver on one end yet that still perpetuate dangers of misogyny, violence against women on the other. Yes, misogyny is often less visible to men than women, simply because male privilege is a thing, that exists. Yes, there are also privileges attached to being a woman (I don't have to carry heavy things often and I can get paid for sex), but since we're living in a patriarchy, it is what it is.

Feminism is not a dirty word. ChelseaBean and I didn't invent these ideas, examples of misogyny, or the language to describe it. I was excited that a male started such a thread, but this forum and its active members seem resistant to the topic, so moving on...I guess.

Sex work probably breeds a certain level of misogyny. The concept of sex for money skews the normal male female power dynamic. It places a higher degree of power in the woman's hands and a lot of men don't like that. This assumes the sex work isn't coerced of course.

When men feel disempowered at the hands of women, they respond in varying ways; violence, condescension, appearance insults, questioning her intelligence. They become angry when their money isn't sufficient to control providers in a way they demand.

This is all in theory though. I'm sure none of the women who participate in this forum have experienced any of those things.

Ms. Amore,
I somewhat disagree with your 3 items. Those actions are taken irregardless of the intended targets' sex. So what would be the correct term myso-human? It is equal-opportunity hatred.

Perhaps we can have a "You might just be a Philogynist" thread.

From Wikipedia: "The counterpart of misogyny is misandry, the hatred or dislike of men; the antonym of misogyny is philogyny, the love or fondness of women."
#23.) Someone who points out to a certain provider that she may have a bit of a problem recognizing tongue in cheek self deprecating humor but that's OK as I believe most everyone else here got it.

In reviewing my posts at no point do I see anything other a light hearted banter from a monger who clearly does not take himself or the board too seriously.

At no point was I remotely upset let alone close to losing my shit. I would say you are a bit slow on the uptake but that would just be my misogynist speaking lol.

3.) You think every hooker's eyes bulge out like a cartoon characters at just the mention of money and think she imagines every client to be walking dollar sign as opposed to a fully functioning human being who also happens to be a client and a source of income for her. (I watch a lot of bugs bunny)

4. You fully recognize that the acronym IOP exists for a reason and is part of what guys consider when writing a review but still participate in the many variations of the "hookers can't be trusted because they lie about the very thing you are paying them to give the illusion of...." debate, used loosely. Damned if you do, damned if you don't . Originally Posted by chelseabean

I think you guys largely over-estimate volume in most cases. Also, just a big assumption about what she gives two shits about. Also, you can like someone as a human being and also be ready to done with your job. My point was the whole crassly imagined lack of nuance.

For the same reason, the first word in the acronym is illusion, I imagine.
