The Breakfast Club is very popular, but the chicken there is nothing special. I know the owner well and have been a lot but it's not worth the long line to get in (if I had to do that).

If you can make that trip out to TSU, Frenchy's is the king. It's a pain in the ass with that stupid disorganized line to get it, but it's the best.

Guess I gotta try Max's.....
Funky Chicken 181 Heights Blvd. on the weekend they have fried chicken and waffles.

Fuck a bunch of fried chicken. Damn bones get stuck in my throat then people thinck I got a hairball or something.
Now fresh raw pigeon that I've caught myself off the overpass by the downtown aquarium. That's some good vittles right there.

Popeyes. Never thought Frenchy's was as good as Popeyes and I've eaten at them throughout the years as they went in and out of bankruptcy.

Popeyes also had the best onion rings but they discontinued them years ago. Love the red beans and rice too. Not as good as Treebeard's.

Frenchy's and Max's are hard to beat. Haven't seen the Fried Yardbird at Lucille's on this list...

Barbecue Inn @ Yale & Crosstimbers, for the old-timey kind of fried yardbird yo momma used to make on Sundays. I love Frenchys and Al Ameel, but BBQ Inn wins if old-timey is what you crave.... Originally Posted by MisterMeat

And I just noticed a new Frenchys about to open on Kirkwood and Bellaire. Where the old Long John Silvers use to be

I will stick with Scott St
