i am thinking of visiting corpus cristi area

My advice to the OP would be to look through the provider ads for this area. Ask those who visit often why the visit often. If the answer is "the beach" more often than not, that may be the end of your research. If those who visit often are making good money, compare your rates to those who visit here frequently, and compare yourself (age, menu, online persona, etc.), realistically, to the providers who visit often. If you compare favorably, you should have a good trip. Another question you can ask providers who visit often is: how many of the guys who express interest actually book?

In sum, why do others visit often, how do you compare to them, and how many appointments can you expect? The answers should help with your decision.
rjdiner and emptywallet i think you both realy hit the nail on the head for the whole convo...

I couldn't have said it any better!! The guys here seem to take pride in being cheap, bargain basement shoppers. -- Remember though, BP has alot of traffic and "normal" guys read it too, you just need to know how to set up your ad.

I still meet a few nice gents who don't complain, but there are tons of other cities that will treat you better and be more profitable. I was on the road for only 8 days and made 3x what I make being in CC for a month. Go figure...

Good luck to you if you decide to come anyway! Don't hesitate if you need a reference from me. Originally Posted by SimplyGwen

Phillip:
I have to say I have no problem with a guy who has a budget and sees providers at a lower price point. What I do have a problem with, though, is when they call that provider and try to negotiate that price. It is totally classless and it reflects on all of us. To all you mongers who try that shit : QUIT IT !!!
If you don't want to pay the price don't make the call OK?

This is a high end personal services business and as such it is not like pricing a tool at Sears vs Walmart. The value is hard to measure so don't ask someone to lower their price when you don't even know how good (or poor) service is. It makes you look foolish. I do know some people here don't care about that but you really should. I know because I run a high end, personal services business and if you ask me for a discount on my professional services, the next thing you'll be seeing is the door.

I couldn't agree more Miss Majesty and RJ. Negotiating isn't my bag, never has been. If I don't feel the service is worth the cost, I just don't call. Recently I saw a $400 an hour provider in Houston (no review, I'm lazy) and while she was fun I don't think she was really worth the cost of admission and won't be returning. On that same trip I saw a $200 an hour woman and had one of the best experiences I've had in years...so price doesn't mean shit IMO. It's about doing research, talking to other hobbyist that have personal experience and most of all keeping your expectations in check.

Don't get it twisted, I'm all for ladies setting rates that they are comfortable with based on the level of service and quality of their looks. I'm also a hobbyist and want to network with other hobbyist to find those diamonds in the rough. WALDT is one of my favorite acronyms in the hobby and I feel it applies to this thread.

if your a Ferrari and have a Ferrari price tag, people who buy Ferraris will buy you. if your a beetle with a Ferrari price tags, people who buy Ferraris will not buy you, and people who buy beetles will ask you to lower your Ferrari price to a beetle price and then buy you.
