I had the CFS at Antler about six yrs ago and eh. Not bad but not the best.
The Antler has changed locations since then, it is no longer at US281N and TX46.
It is on TX46 east from US281N (meaning take a right) and travel about 1.5 - 2 miles. It will be on your left. I have not tried the food since they have moved.
I normally do not rate a CFS by its size on the plate, the damn steak is tenderized to the point of being 2mm thick with gaps in it covered by batter. Useless. This is the case with Rooty's on 410 yrs ago.
A CFS should be 1/4 thick after tenderizing, and in my opinion, using the same type of batter created at Mr & Mrs G's for their fried chicken. Which, BTW is the absolute best around chicken in Texas.
The milk gravy used at Radickes is very good. The CFS is better than most.

In my youth I was spoiled by growing up in Corpus Christi and going to Floyd's Restaurant, where my mother was the waitress and my aunt was the cook. For me, every meal was home cooked, and the CFS was the best in the world. Originally Posted by Doglegg

There are not any really good chicken fried steaks here in San Antonio Originally Posted by legbrkerLulu's doesn't even compare?? PM me so we can get together.
