Some people, growing up or living around these issues in cities whether it be Buffalo, Rochester or any other city, it doesn't shock them. So just as you have a hard time understanding it's presence and those that don't seem bothered by it, others have a hard time understanding why you're so shocked - because as you said you grew up in the middle of nowhere. The world is a funny place like that, and people are funny as well...to say the least.

And than when I joined the military same way, didt want to jeopardize my career for that and this did same while I've been in.
