If you hit a deer with your vehicle, you can't harvest it and eat it. Not even if you use a tag from your valid hunting license. And, if you call the TPWD, they will come and clean it up.

But with dog or cat, no state department gives two shits. And they ain't cleanin it up. And it's legal to pick that damn sumbitch up and cook up some gumbo.
