To blog or not to blog?

I like the concepts of blogs but I can't see very many men I know taking the time to actually sit down and read them- which is why I never jumped on that bandwagon.

I definitely agree that you shouldn't really use it to post pictures (i.e. give away content for free) because your website gallery/portfolio should provide you with the place to update your photos. A blog, to me, seems more like a place to write your personal ramblings/musings on whatever topic strikes your fancy. And like I said, I just can't imagine very many men taking the time to read all of that.

I think with a well thought out website, visitors should be able to get a good enough idea of who you are and what you are like :-)
Hi Anna,

In my opinion, personal websites provide the most basic snapshot of the individual.

I think if you have something interesting and perhaps compelling to share, your Gentlemen friends will take the time to read your blog.

Those brief moments when they are checking stock quotes or skimming through the internet reading the days news and business articles...well, there goes an opportunity!

Cheers,
H

***Nina: Thank you!
Hello Hannah (I just love this little icon, it is so friendly!)

I know you are right, there a a few men I can think of right off the top of my head who would stop by and check for any updates. This is always the pull. Yet I know so many that I don't think would have the time... *sigh* this is always my dilemma.

I am sure I will cave eventually, like I said, I love the idea of a blog. Much like this forum, it offers the opportunity to write whatever interests me and there is no need to hide what I do (if they are visiting my site, lets hope they can guess what I do by the time they hit the blog, even if they have never meet me ;-) So while I obviously never include specifics, it would be nice to be able to have to opportunity to write about recent adventures, etc. when the mood strikes.

Hummmm, decisions, decisions...

I will say, I checked out your website and blog (you have a beautiful site btw :-) and I feel the pull to blog because you are right, it is a direct connection to others...

*sighs and throws hands up in the air in defeat*
Fine, I give in.
*sends off email to webmaster to include a blog*

Thank you for the insight, I really appreciate it! Although, the irony isn't lost on me- I contributed to this thread as an advice giver and am ending up on the other side hahahahaha :-)

Cheers, (yay, someone else uses this sign-off, I knew I wasn't the only one!)

I have, on occasion, read some of the blog writings of ladies I may see. It might be a tie-breaker and so, it does serve a purpose.
For the most part though, I have found that blogs tend to be self-serving and some even border on textual porn.
In my case, I don't have time to waste on any writings from a woman I'm not likely to see anyway.

I write a blog because I love to write...but even more, when I write about sexual experiences I have...it's a huge turn on. Its also a huge turn on my readers, a lot of my male readers...and female readers have told me that its a turn on to read my blog...so I guess I am doing something right...

Even though I have never posted a picture of my self on the blog I have had tons of men asking me for sessions, wanting to get to know me, ask me out on dates...all on account of my blog. I think with the right words, a girl can really turn a man on.

I am a writer, I love to write...I do blog on my website, but it's mostly just my random thoughts or funny (true) stories...I could openly blog about so much more, but I respect other's privacy....I have quite a bit of guys who read it, comment on it and follow it....I encourage more people to do it!
